Transportation design for mega-city centers

Mega-cities with over 10 million residents are growing exponentially,
big cities are increasingly competing against each other.
Transportation infrastructure in these cities is already planned with two
and more street layers above each other. Furthermore the automotive
city-traffic gets more and more restricted. These facts lead us to the
conclusion that a visionary infrastructure and transportation solution
is needed more than ever before.

The diploma thesis visualizes a suspended maglev-train system,
that enables the user to ease over the time-consuming congestion.

This new wave transportation service provides an unique experience,
to float on a transparent viewing platform through the canyons of
tower buildings. In addition the user enjoys the comfort of space-saving
seats and entertainment walls in the tail of this new transportation medium.

The distinctive driving experience and the design messages
are communicated through a deliberate visual product language.

The problem:
In particular toddlers do not want to sit all the time in their baby buggy,
but want to be carried by their parents. Carrying babies and toddlers is
a heavy stress for the backbone and can cause back pain.

Two years have past, but my 4th term project 'skate air' still
seems quite contemporary. It was just published at the austrian
newspaper "Der Standard".

“Skate Air“ is a remarkably light inline skate that enhances jumps
through a frame that operates as a special flat spring. The same frame
saves the skater’s knees from tough stress during the landing.

The flat spring is made of various fibre compound layers and an elastomer.
This unique inner architecture of the spring is designed to absorb
vibrations that there is no rocking.

Das Video zeigt ein Projekt, das ich zusammen mit drei Freunden,
Christoph Aschaber, Lukas Jungmann und Markus Kargel im
Marketing Crash-Kurs an der Hochschule gemacht habe.

Wir sollten ein imaginäres Unternehmen gründen und dazu einen
vollständigen Marketing Plan entwerfen. Das Video enthält von dem
Entwurf einer Vision, über die Gestaltung der Distributionswege,
einer Konkurrenzanalyse und Guerilla-Marketing Kampagnen alles,
was ein "spaßiger", aber ganzheitlicher Marketing Plan enthalten soll.

Unser Unternehmen heißt RINDERWAHN und unsere Vision ist,
ein neumodisches ikonisches Produkt & Dienstleistung
für Österreich zu kreieren.

An der Hochschule sollten wir eine 'Werbe Kampagne'
gestalten, die DESIGNER bewegen soll, nachhaltige und Umweltschonende
Produkte zu entwerfen. Zusammen mit meinen Teamkollegen
Lukas Jungmann, Markus Kargel und David Leister entwarfen
wir zwei Werbeplakate und die Umweltschutzorganisation "Green Ribbon",
die Aufmerksamkeit zum Thema "Nachhaltiges Gestalten" erzeugen sollen.

Die Ergebnisse sprechen für sich :)

Renault taxi concept
75% of mankind living in cities. In these Megacities space is a highly
valuable commodity. Flexibility and mobility are still important factors
in society, but private owned cars are very often economically unviable.
The Renault Taxi Concept fits in that scenario perfectly: It can carry up
to two passengers and its design represents the new ecological spirit
of the time.

Seit langem war ich wieder meine Eltern besuchen und habe dabei im
Keller eine Zeichnung gefunden, die ich mit 12 Jahren im Kunstunterricht
der Schule angelegt habe. Die Zeichnung gefällt mir noch immer und
ich musste sie einscannen, so dass sie nicht für immer verloren geht.
Das Papier löst sich leider langsam schon auf.

How can security be interpreted in package design?

Is their any construction that is sturdy and use as little as possible material?
Can packaging evoke pleasure through its opening and closing process?
Can two things together build an entity?

It is an experiment that plays with distorted geometrical patterns.
Abstracted and translated into two elements, aiding one another.
Giving space for an exciting opening experience.

One package consists of two identical parts,
each longing for the other. Agglutinated flat,
folded into a premature package, slided into each other,
two elements reveal an architectural and
secure looking packaging product.

Werbung für den Schuheinzelhandel. Die Werbung besteht aus einer
Schuhzeichnung und einem Werbespruch, der auf das individuelle
Bedürfnis der Geschäftsinhaberin eingeht. Die Schuhzeichnung
symbolisiert qualitatives Handwerk und Designanspruch,
der Werbespruch geht auf die Kunden des Geschäftes ein. Das Werk
ist auf Leinwand gedruckt und auf einen Holzrahmen aufgezogen.
